About Apple Gift Card

A single Apple gift card with one balance for the entire ecosystem: App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV+, iCloud+, Apple Arcade, iTunes, apple.com and Apple Store retail.

Spend it on subscriptions, apps, games, music, movies, hardware, accessories and any Apple service. The card never expires and is bound to your Apple ID.

Each card is issued for a specific Apple region — the balance only redeems on an account of the same region (e.g. a US card only on a US Apple ID). Make sure you have the right account before buying.

Things to know

Apple Gift Cards are region-locked: a US card only redeems on a US Apple ID, EU cards on European IDs, and so on. You can only change the region of your account when the balance is zero.
An Apple ID holds balance in its region's currency only. There's no conversion at top-up — the card currency must match the account.
Codes redeem once. After activation the amount is credited to your Apple ID balance and cannot be withdrawn back.
If you have an old iTunes Gift Card — it redeems the same way. Apple merged iTunes and App Store cards into a single Apple Gift Card in 2020.
Cards cannot be used to gift money to other Apple IDs, to renew certain third-party subscriptions, or for purchases on App Store business accounts.

Open the App Store on iPhone, iPad or Mac, or visit apple.com/redeem on a computer.

Tap your profile icon → 'Redeem Gift Card or Code'.

Enter the 16-digit code from the back of the card manually, or use the camera to auto-scan. The amount is credited to your balance instantly.

No. Apple Gift Cards are strictly regional — a US card only redeems on a US Apple ID. If your account is in another region, create a separate US Apple ID or buy a card for the right region.

Apple Gift Cards never expire. Once redeemed, the balance stays on your Apple ID indefinitely and can be spent on anything in the Apple ecosystem.

Yes, the balance is spent gradually. The remainder stays on your Apple ID and is visible in your iCloud / App Store settings. You can stack multiple cards on the same balance.

Check that: 1) your Apple ID region matches the card region; 2) the code is entered with no spaces; 3) the card hasn't been redeemed before. If everything looks right, contact Apple Support with a photo of the card and your purchase receipt.
